A Poet's Affair
after such a while the beaty of it all jumps out and attacks me head on like a dagger in search of blood pricked once or twice... ...the slow realization never set in depression always masked the truth now bitterly apparent lucky to breathe, to smile at jokes to have a roof, bleed when struck how could i have let it go unseen? blinded myself with a ribbon of lace lovely lilac.. chocking my life away from happy love i know the truth of it all now the wonderful poetry..sung by the wind as the raindrops seduce my windowpane and the sweet melody of the fan keeps the heat from my heart but not from my soul this heat for life, lust for love driving me closer to eternal bliss my only nirvana... ...found on a sheet of blank paper marked with some ink... drawn from my soul august 4, 2000 Written August 7th, 2001 © on Dec 13 2001 10:20 AM PST, Nichole 18 • 0 • 10
