The Things I Need

By Frank j

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

THE THINGS I NEEDLord, please grant to me the things I need,To help me make it through each day. A little Courage would be nice,If tragedy or trial should come my way.Compassion and Tolerance would let me beOf better disposition towards my fellow man;And with a bit of Friendship, Trust and Charity,I’ll surely do, for him, the best I can.I would share my Patience, Grace and Loyalty,And with your hand to guide me from above,I could help to form a better world,With a good supply of  Hope, and Love. And lastly Lord, with deep Humility,I beseech you, here, upon my knees,For Faith, the greatest thing of all.Dear Lord, don’t let mine weaken... please.
