'Honor of Friendship'
By Frank
Silence The battle was won in our favor Yet i do not.... Nay , i CAN not , see this as a victory The bodies of my comrades Lay strew across the snow covered field The surreal image of red and white snow I am alone , no feral fiends , no noble allies Our God weeps for the lost souls Trapped in an eternal war Their ethereal souls forever bound to their armor and unsheathed blades... His tears bless the bloody battlefields with unrivaled fury How is it i came to live? Am i cursed O'Lord? To remain on this Earth a wounded knave No escape from the guilt of not saving my compatriots I could do nothing for them.... The wind blows across my tears I am bound to honor I shall not leave my friends to suffer As i unsheathe my blade , i gaze at the majestic rainbow So beautiful , the last vision i shall see All goes dark , I am free My comrades , hold the battlements steady I shall join you oh blessed friends....
