'Love's Curse'

By Frank

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I see her from my corporeal prison My Mortal Goddess , happy and joyous Love fills her azure eyes Will she grace me with her presence? Or will she vanish with the Sun's first light Ethereal blades Impaled in my mortal soul As she holds another in a warm embrace The crystalline tears i weep remain unnoticed My heart implodes with a brilliant fury Such agony i can not bear I fall to my knees crying out in anger and sadness My beautiful mistake... The ironies of life , the perplexing results of trying As i lay awaiting Death Reflecting on the effort wasted An attempt to be happy and in love Only revealed to this wretch an unfathomable anguish Remember me well Goddess... The love you murdered with the travesty of happiness Remember me well... The memory of the fool in love May it bring you such agony Fare thee well wench....
