And Still I Shine
By Fred
Like a gardener, you cut me down When I smiled, you tried to make me frown. You tried hard to steal this joy of mine You tried to dim me, and still I shine. You tried to thwart my imminent success And make me weak, down and depressed. To keep me down, you kept on lying. Now I've found truth, and I'm still shining. See God is my baker, and I'm the yeast You never made me worry in the least. You should'a known in the midst of my crying, I'd rise back up with my sun a shining!
