How Many Times?

By Fred

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

How many times must I play the fool? To an ignoramous who think they cool? While they just be using me all the while for gain And I fall victim to persecution and pain. Yes the infamous duo, strong they be Bound up together against little old me. When will I learn whose friendship is true? How many times must I play the fool? They tricked me once, shame on them Shame on me for letting them trick me again. Now I must use knowledge not learned in school No longer will I continue to play the fool.
