It's Not My Fault!

By Fred

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

You put me down, made me feel like dirt You called me names and it really hurt. You told me I would never succeed That I didn't have the sense I need You hurt me, and abused me indeed You told me I was a wasted seed. So for years my life was at a hault But now I know that it's not my fault. You're a wicked, stupid jerk and creep You made me to always feel defeat! But it was not my fault, no indeed Not my fault, and I'm a splendid seed. I'm splendid and I'm better than you Try all u want ain't jack u can do! You can kick me, perhaps I may fall But once more I'll rise bold proud and tall. You may cut me, make me bleed in pain But my cut shall heal, you'll fail again. You may soil my name with dirty words But again it shall soar just like the birds. It's not my fault, no indeed it's not You need to put your mouth to a stop You're a smart-mouth, dumb son-of-a-gun But me, I'm super and number one.
