One Day . . .
By Fred
One day we'll be perfectly at peaceNo more rain, the cloudy storm will cease. One day, we'll be made to cry no moreOne day we'll reach the Lord's distant shore. While I'm here I get cast down sometimesLife's mountain is oh so hard to climb. The mountain's too high to climb aloneYet I'm climbin' Lord, 'cause I'm coming home. One day, we'll cease from sorrow no doubtOn that great morning, we'll dance and shout.I live for the day He'll say well doneYou've endured hardships, your race is run.Down here, my load is heavy indeedPlease help oh Lord who supplies all needs.Although I'm winded, on I will runUntil I hear your voice say well done.I am writing this poem today, at a time when I am grieving and need to express myself, can you feel the grief conveyed in this poem?
