Sorrow's Sky

By Fred

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Memories of pain light up sorrow's sky My eyes are the clouds, they rain the tears I cry. My sobs are its winds, and loudly they blow. My pain, its thunder and its whirling tornado. Lord, please make the storms in my life to cease For the winds obey when you speak your peace. Please restore, my quiet summer weather. When my burdens were light as a feather. For sorrow's sky Lord is way too dark I wanna clear it but where do I start? To where do I look for the rising sun? I'm asking you because I know you're the one. You're the one who controls my weather here In your presence Lord, the storm brings no fear Lord I cry out my heavy heart to you As I sit here and wonder what to do. But for my weather you know what's best I'll leave it alone and let you do the rest Sun, you made so my blossoms could grow high Then rain you sent so my well wouldn't run dry.
