The Distant Shore
By Fred
While sailing upon life's waves Not knowing what tide be in store We must still give God praise En route to the distant shore. Though it seems so far away And at times in sorrow we drown Keep looking to the brighter day Waiting on that shore is a crown. Life's breakers fiercely dash While sailing toward the shore And with icebergs we may crash Not wanting to paddle anymore. But when we reach the shore Celebration will never cease The tiring battle will be o'er And we'll finally be at peace. Written October 1st, 2001 © on Oct 01 2001 08:59 AM PST 0 • 12
