The Lord Will Fight the Battle

By Fred

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Whose battle is this to fight? I would really like to know Who lights our darkest night? And clears up pain and sorrow? If you answered the Lord, Then how correct you are And greater is your reward For knowing He's not far. The Lord will fight the battle Yes the Lord will win it for all No need to mount your saddle All you could do is once more fall. But the Lord can handle the war And our battles He will fight It's us whom He even died for So our lives would be all right. So why would you try to fight This heavy battle all by yourself ? When Jesus is the truth and light Why would you call on anyone else Give it to God, for He holds all power Let Him step in and help you now For even in your darkest, weakest hour He's still fighting for you anyhow!
