What Lies Ahead?

By Fred

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Upon life's road, we sometimes trod in fear Wondering is our destination far or near Is the road one way or is there a U turn? At the thought of the future our stomachs churn. We're afraid wondering what lies ahead Is it an outlet, or an end that's dead? What exactly is it that our futures contain? Why is it that in suspense we must remain? Well, as for me, I answer just like this Taking this path we definitely can't miss. What lies ahead,  I really do not know God leads the path and I simply follow. God knows what lies ahead, He's all wise I can't see what's coming, but in Him I confide Every step I take on this road is in His hands So I will not question His perfect plans. There's no need for me to take a detour And what lies ahead I fear no more. Although I cannot see it, I know who does He sits high, looks low, and is full of love.
