Rain Day

By Frogi59

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

It's about that time again,In the late afternoon,When the rain pours down,And the skies are cool.I hide beneath the fly,And watch the world wash away.Drop by drop in all the puddles,The water begins to play.Under the cover I say my prayers,Eat my soup and waste the day.The streets are now rivers,Today the swan won't come my way.But I'm glad to be here, so I can say,I witnessed the most beautiful rain day.Aug 2001, Written October 11th, 2001 © on Oct 11 2001 03:15 PM PST   18 • 0 • 10
