Notes of Promise as Ethos... Judaism: Thine Fate thus cast, look forward. Become as Gods, by subduing the Earth and all its ills. Tame Nature for there is No Super-Nature beyond Nature's supreme intrinsic intelligence. No personal afterlife, beyond the spacetime of one's tiny life. Only the potential of remembrance & posterity. (Thy Promise - This World Alone.) Christianity: Through Good might ye ascend to redeem/absolve thyselves of the Original Sin of Man's Fall into Materiality via Divisive Desire. Thy personal soul belongs to a Super-Nature. (Thy Promise - This & Other/More/Next World(s).) Islam: Neither East nor West...lacking Reformation from an heretofore ancient Orthodoxy...saith, Prostrate thyself before Absolute Allah, for thine own tiny physical existence is sinful. Thy personal soul is Extra-Natural.(Promise - Next World) Hinduism: Maya (the Physical World), as Manifestation of endless karmic cycle(s) of reincarnation/rebirth, is Eternity's Illusion. Thy soul's ultimate destiny is to achieve/realize Oneness with/as Creator of All/Atman. Thou art already One with All despite thine karmic [temporal/historic] stage. Thy personal/extra- personal soul is at once Natural and Extra-Natural (Thy Hope/Promise - This & Next World.) Buddhism: Animal Desire perpetuates the eternal cycle of human sufferring. Hence, Desire not. In the Great Non-Cyclic Nothingness one's person, and all suffering, ceases long after chaos has blended into oblivious silence of peace.
