Millions of voices screaming for change A country ran dry and emaciated Like the carcass of an eagle Under an apathetic sun They tried to bring the eagle Back to where it was Tried to feed it Tried to sustain it But one must ask himself: "How does a dead thing live once more?" Perhaps all the eagle is good for Is to stuff it with God-knows-what And put it on display For the whole world to see So that they can carry on With trying to bring the dead to life And while most of the world gazes At a marvelous bird with wings spread wide There are some who know What's really inside...
