Constant Tears
By Grannyrosie
** Constant tears are falling Torrents of monsoonal rain, Yet still no way they dissipate Irreconcilable grief and pain. Such death there be, deep inside Decayed joy grow parasitic thread Invading, destroying memories of beauty Leaving only bitterness, pain and dread. Hope has abandoned yet the soul, Sweet comfort may not be found. The marsh of desolation decomposing, Quicksand, rockslides to abound. Yet tears flow even faster now; Nay, hear, not in selfish self-pity Tis yet for those I loved so well whom from Their giant despair may not break free. This pain tis for all humanity, Smites deep within this troubled breast. Alas, I fear, time doth draw nigh Satan rejoices in his quest. Why now doth man turn eyes so blind? Intelligence? Thought? How can it so be? So on, the tears cascade, as waterfalls, Faith, even faith, deserting me. ** Written March 19th, 2002 © on Mar 19 2002 12:35 AM PST, Patricia Rosenberg 10 • 0 • 1
