Such disappointment there be found, Although it seems that males abound. But, some are married, some aren't straight, Some have need to participate, In acts unheard by such as we, Not prudish, ladies, that we be. Confronted with societies dregs, We sat, consulted more, Slept on the matter overnight, Then to my dear daughters delight, Criteria ?, A master plan, To help us find the perfect man. On top of list, faithful, gentle, kind, Someone who does have a mind, A brain, no less, not Einstien, But something close to hers, or mine. Want truth, frankness and honesty, Couldn't handle little kids, Same age, or a tad older, Dont want someone on the skids. Compassion, understanding, A sunny bright outlook. The stuff that we came up with, Will surely fill a book. A passable countenance will do, Dont want another Tom Cruise, They're the kinda fellas, Aussie girls all seem to lose. Body? Cant stand a beer gut, But some healthy cover dont mind, Keeps one warm in winter, On the tall side, cigarettes are fine. Dont want a beer swilling 'Ocker' guy, Who gives all other girls the eye, We don't mind a drink or two, Don't believe in getting high. A love of art and music, Theatre nights out on the town, Long walks in bush, or forest, Country drives, dancing, lights way down. Important??? Sense of humour, NEVER put us down, Supportive, someone to share with,. Need a man, not a clown. Someone to respect and love, To greet, with each new day, Share laughter and tears together, Walk hand in hand on life's highway. Good books, good verse, good lovin' Neat, clean and tidy if you please, Prepared to help with chores at times, DON'T want someones disease.
