Daydreams of Reality
By Grannyrosie
DAYDREAMS OF REALITY Frangipani, stark naked, Crepe Myrtle too, weepings finally done, Contrast with the still bright green of natives, Lillypilly, Grevillia and Gum. Framing that picture so perfect, Viewed each time vision strays to door, Grey sky, dark river, sunshine muted, Spasmodically appearing, it seems, To remind of the beauties surrounding, Plus those so alive in daydreams. Call of the Crow, off there in the background, A cheeping, cheeky Minor close by, Kookaburra splutters and croaks to prepare, His amusement to shout through the sky. Patterns thread and weave in the shadows, Promising mystical magic delights, Contented and cleansed, a soul turns to rest, Released from the cold lonliness of night Written January 13th, 2002 © on Jan 13 2002 11:36 AM PST, Patricia Rosenberg 0 • 10
