Daydreams
By Grannyrosie
DAYDREAMS A whisper of a pot of gold, Buried treasure beneath the sea, A pirate cave, full of spoils, Waiting there, for me. Breathless journey on a carpet, Across far distant shores, Jewelled city beneath a mountain, Enchanted island, where time does pause. Multi coloured heaven, Where clouds don’t hide the day, Stairway leading upward, Where cherubs sing, and play. A dashing Knight in armour, Chariots of gleaming gold, A lake of sparkling emeralds, Pure love, to have, and hold. Sunrise on the desert, Sunset across the sea, Moon’s regal journey through the night, A velvet beach, down by the sea. Ah Daydreams! Such a blessing, We can choose all things to see, Or select a black, barren, starless night, Be doomed eternally. Written December 22nd, 2001 © on Dec 22 2001 08:51 AM PST, Patricia Rosenberg 0 • 10
