Desire
By Grannyrosie
Desire Life pulsates in the caverns of my soul And cries like some wild bird to be released Red fires, and mist, and strange unnatural glows Reduce my vision to one small dark hole Gradually streaks of sometimes smoke And minute sparks... then dim faint light Appear around that orifice before me there And vision is returned But sight revitalised A reawakening occurs within my breast A mad tempestuous storm erupts I am divest of all illusions Inhibitions Prudity and Shame I seek fulfillment... and cry out the name Of that which serves me best- or worse This passion thing that drives a mind insane This bestial instrument of mans great shame This act of love... or lust... or greed ...or sin This untamed soul... Devouring monster from within I am it's servant- my cruel master I await And smile with bliss in contemplation of that fate Await the divine one daughter of the night Await the grandiose majesty and might- Of all that makes you female, woman, handservant, peasant, queen, divine being, slave All this and more the holy fire will kindle in the pit of my desire I know it Will not fight it Why should I? For this act of procreation I was made I am divine,of gods, here for the sake of this great fire that makes a man a king....a king a liar I will take the cup that serves me best Then drink my fill,or more- and earn my rest And if the price I pay should be too high If eternal damnation is the fire of lust...so let it be For lust, and love and fire are born in me.
