GHOSTLY NOTIONS Reflected shadows cast on cliff face, Large eagles, out of night, Cascading,colliding, In eerie, soft blue light. Slinking white ghosts appear, Intent to rule this night, Destroy these monstrous intruders, Crush them with their might. Leaping, bounding specters, Still the prey eluded, Battle rages, as spirits, Observe, do not intrude. Sharpened claw of feline spoor, Triumphant, one shadow falls, Lo! More do appear, Response to dying calls. Ghosts seem to relish challenge anew, Rush in to slaughter's fray, Bodies of broken and vanquished, Upon death's door do lay. Enough of this night's slaughter, Enough of this night's rage, Light snuffed out, loud wailing, Felines prance upon that stage. Behold, in candle's glowing, White cats, two, appear.
