Just relax
By Grannyrosie
JUST RELAX Tired, stressed, overwhelmed, Weeks of grief and pain, Come my love, lie beside me, Rest in my arms again. Body taut with anxiety, Muscles tight with stress. Warm oil, a massage waiting, Relief from this duress. Feel my fingers working, Gently, neck and head. Loosening up those muscles, Tightened up with dread. Knead between your vertebrae, Slowly work them free. To feel you start relaxing, Reward enough for me. Hands across your shoulders, Working, rhythmic touch. Chopping gently, thumbs pushing, You can never have too much. Palms pushing up, fingers splayed, Now up and down your spine. Rib cage muscles loosening, You sigh, it’s so divine. Continuing, slowly patting, Now in lower muscles deep. “Felling better now sweetheart”? No answer, He’s asleep. Written December 20th, 2001 © on Dec 20 2001 12:37 AM PST, Patricia Rosenberg 0 • 8
