Loneliness defeated
By Grannyrosie
LONLINESS DEFEATED Slip once more between lonely sheets, Cry silent tears of sorrow. Aching for that gentle touch, Waiting for tomorrow. Subtle warmth invades the space, Beside me, in this bed. Enfolding arms reach out, A breeze, breath, beside my head? Contentment again invades my soul, I turn, my dearest one to find, There beside me, eyes so warm, Tender, full of love’s sweet charm. The tears lovingly kissed away, so kind, Deep reassuring voice soothes this mind, No greater wonder can there be, Knowing this love is near. Embrace me, never let me go. Erase this pain, and fear. Whiling away the long night hours, Sharing memories, revealing all. Closer, closer, yet my love, Hear heart’s lonely call. Fingers touch, hands clasp tight, Receiving strength throughout the night. Knowing full well, with the dawn, Those arms, those lips, will vanish, gone. No need for wild erotic rides, On fantasy’s fast train,. Sharing this warmth, comfort and love, Alleviates loneliness, and pain. Plan and devise tomorrow, Weave tapestry of future bright, Now knowing with each new morning, Love will return, to celebrate the night Written December 22nd, 2001 © on Dec 22 2001 10:35 AM PST, Patricia Rosenberg 0 • 8
