Major overhaul
By Grannyrosie
MAJOR OVERHAUL Introspect on the matter, Of creaking knees, and joints. Optic clarity fading with each year. Revelations of great significance, Emerge with ponderings deep, Although it tarried with my time, Some nights devoid of sleep. The big end keeps on knocking, Gaskets have sprung a leak. Fuel line has a fatal block, Hiccupping even as I speak. Diff gives out a mighty roar, Ascending every hill. Park brake doesn’t work no more, To keep the old girl still. Just need a grease and oil change, Decoke, and rebore. Realigned the wheels, and balance too. Overhaul ailing transmission, Sort out the overdrive, Attend to clogged up filter, Keep this old gal alive. Knock out a dent or two, One fender is badly bent. Some dollars on more duco, Would be money wisely spent. Debug the headlights, polish them, They’ll be bright again for years. There! Finished! Now top up the gas. Banished all the fears.
