My prayer for you
By Grannyrosie
MY PRAYER FOR YOU I prayed your gentle fingers, Could just once outline his face. Just once, that you may shelter, In the comfort of his embrace. I fervently implored that you may bask, In the glow of his precious mind, That his eyes may rest upon you, Sweet loving eyes, so kind. As I pleaded my case for you, I asked the same release for me. We know there is just one place, Our spirits, souls, need to be. So often have I shed sad tears, Beset by unfulfilled, burning need. That you too, should suffer so, Life’s bitter pill, indeed. May your footsteps walk together, Upon the sands of life, and love. May you rejoice in the warmth of him, This I beseech my GOD, above. Happiness for both of you, What more could a friend implore. I would go to the greatest length, To see you united with the one you adore. For Aarti. Written January 2nd, 2002 © on Jan 02 2002 04:09 AM PST, Patricia Rosenberg 0 • 10
