One day

ONE DAY I hear your voice upon the wind, Echoing out my name. My heart winces in despair, Reliving yet again, the pain. I ache to find sanctuary of your arms. I yearn for that funny, crooked smile. My darling, how I miss you. Yet, I will be with you, in a while. Hold me close, just for a moment, In this sacred recess of my mind. Don’t leave me yet, alone again, So long my love, for you, I have pined. Resentment flares from deep within, That you were taken, so cruelly, away. I see you clearly, in my memory. Treasured recall, that will always stay. Waking in dawn’s cold, grey light, Aching to feel your body near. Fresh tear drops stain my pillow each day, For the one, my love, so dear. I miss you, need you, want you, love you. Words are all that are left for me. Plus, the smile on my face with sure knowledge, Eternally, together, one day we will be.
