Phantom lover
By Grannyrosie
PHANTOM LOVER When the night falls, stars are beckoning, Moon softly shines, in placcid skies, I seek to find, the one who loves me, He quiets my soul, and soothes my mind. There has been pain, no love avoids it, But insignificant, that to me, My love, a story book perfection, Because he lives, inside of me. Within my mind, I have created, Someone who loves and cherishes me, If that is all, for me in this life, Then thats the way, it has to be. He gently takes my hand, and leads me, Into a world, of passion's fire, He lifts me up, and feeds my needs so, Fulfills my dreams. quenches my desire. Indeed, to love, a Phantom Lover, Is better than, no love at all, For when I go, I know he'll be there, To greet me in, yon Heaven's Hall. The things that come, from being lonely, Sometimes provide, life's greatest need, I found my wants, completely sated, Within my mind, and heart indeed. Man cannot live, on bread alone, Nor can a woman, ere survive, The Phantom lover, of my nights now, Is all that keeps, this soul alive Written December 14th, 2001 © on Dec 13 2001 04:08 PM PST, Patricia Rosenberg 0 • 10
