Somebodies daughter (dedication)
By Grannyrosie
Somebody's Daughter Somebody's daughter is sleeping, Tossing fitfully in her bed. Sombody's daughter is worried, Her heart is filled with dread. Somebody's daughter just cant believe, The events of the past few days. She wants to shut her eyes real tight, Hoping it will all go away. Somebody's daughter is lonely, Weeping for the love long lost, Needing comfort and hugs and nurturing, Renewed strenght to balance the cost. Somebody's daughter has something else, A gift no-one could ever deny, The love of a mother and family, Which has grown as the years roll by. Somebodies daughter is treasured, Dearly loved ,respected, admired, She has all the courage and stamina, Anyone could have ever desired. Somebody's daughter? that sounds like mine! She is all of the above and more. Delighting and amazing this mother' Everything I respect and adore. Is that somebody's daughter called Roxanne? Is she beautiful, bright and witty. Is she quick as a wink, with a dry retort? Eyes soft, face gentle and pretty? Does she worry bout others...never herself? Is she generous, patient and kind? Does she deal with disputes like a diplomat? Gives a hand ..and never seems to mind? Thats surely my daughter.I know that it is. A treasure on earth to behold. A gem of the earth,a star from above, A wonderful vessel of goodness and love.
