Take A Thread
By Grannyrosie
Weave tapestries of rhyme or prose, With threads of silk divine , Add colours of the raibow, Then tell of love, sublime. Write of life, or death, or sorrow, Unpaid debt, a fairy ring, Show grief, the strenghts we borrow, Roses, trees, or birds that sing. Dip into wilderness, the clouds above you, Dawn, passion, moon, dark shores, Remembering always as you weave, These mind pictures are, all yours. Be weary, angry, drained, in love, But let your muse run free. Let it run with needle so lovingly, For all the world to see Take a thread of conscience , empathy, Weave it in with blessings too, Ghosts, wind or lightning magnify, As lovingly this work you do. Blow it out of all proportion, Make it small, and barely there, Give it hope, and light, and faith, Show someone you really care. Then, to add a new dimension, Take the paint of apprehension, Daub it through with tears and sorrow, Promise of a bright tomorrow. Add the sound of violins, Larks, steel guitars, Blend them in with lilting song Send them soaring through the stars. Include cadence, flow, velocity, Soothing melody, or rap, Create a living, breathing thing, Woven through the fabrics nap. Put nature proudly in her spot, Then, if you believe you've done the lot, Return the spool to GOD above, HE gave all this, to you, in love.
