To Be Such Of Little Consequence
By Grannyrosie
Is it of such little consequence, You have left her life destroyed? Are you pleased with broken promises, All the subtle devises you employed? Does it bother you, that slowly, She is dying, deep inside? Do you care how many hours consume, The tears that she has cried? Does her broken spirit haunt you? Are you proud of what you have done? Does it suit your ego, if you call, Fleet feet of joy will run? Should we question your intentions? Did you know right from the start, Having her absolute devotion, loyalty, Your callous act would break her heart? Your excuses sound quite lame to me, In fact, they are shallow and weak. How many times in your lifetime, Have you had a heart thrown at your feet? The shock waves of your selfishness, Throughout her life reverberate. The plans you made together, Just more lies you fabricate. Forgive, forget may be the cry, Mister, all I can say to you, Trust and respect went out the door, Nothing will this deed undo.
