Wisdom's tree
By Grannyrosie
WISDOMS TREE ‘Neath Wisdoms tree, pondering, Many branches, intertwined. Seeking truth, and honesty. Satisfying a bruised and battered mind. Watching Faith, ascending to the skies, Branches so stout, and strong. Holding Salvation, Respect and Trust, Close, where they belong. Contemplation there as well, Nursing introspect intrinsically, Warding off invasion of vanity and lies, Slothfulness, jealousy, greed and calamity. Counteracted by righteousness and happiness, Self pity trying to sow her seeds, Conscience growing steadily, Insight, compassion, demonstrating needs. Illuminating sorrow and trouble, Leaves, glowing baubles of delight, Joy, hope, laughter, shine in reverence, Casting passions flame so bright. Watch despair and misery slide in to darkness, Despondence, depression follow on, Revelation overtaking sadness, Daydreams dance, with nightmare gone. Examining this giant trunk, I see, Gentleness, a lovers sigh, Good deeds abounding, humility, Holding this giant, to reach on high, Courage and tolerance override, Malice and corruption trying to take a hold, Within the bark, evil abides All encompassing love, leads, so bold.
