Gramps

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Lit up did your blue eyes, Your eye brows did rise. Each time I came in the room, Didnt know you'd be going soon. The memories we did share, The way you did care. Makes me sad, That your no longer there. Where did our time go, When we both grew older. Days seemed shorter, Than they ever have before. The few months that you struggled to hang on, I found myself crying and carrying on. The last few days you struggled to hang on, I found myself thanking GOD, that you were moving on. You would no longer suffer, from this lung cancer. Its now been seven months, Since you left that day, Later Gramps, I'll see you again some day.
