A Weapon

Do you know the torture, the pain that I endured? in the process of going from young man, to Marine they stripped away my very soul, every essence of me and in return they left, a fierce, and violent warrior pain was just a method, another tool, an environment to be endured that is why in every war, the Corps comes out the victor not many men can long endure, the pressure of that job because the sacrifice, not just physically but the shear act of trying to block all emotion is greater than most can withstand I am a grown man now, and my feelings have returned I do not hide my tears, nor feel shame in love because of having stood the test my sacrifice has been repaid, tenfoldveterans, I know you will identify with this.
