Confessions of Fear

By Hayley

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

The scary thing is, is that you're gone, you're gone and I'm not sure which way is up. The scary thing is that my eyes were open, now I fear they are beginning to shut. The scary thing is that you love me, which makes it harder to be afar. The scary thing is that I know the ending, my head and heart are battling apart. The scary thing is that I'm losing my grip, on everything that I know and feel is real. The scary thing is that the cards have been shuffled, they're shuffled, now it's time to deal. The scary thing is that you're so far away, you're away and you have taken your vow. The scary thing is that I love you, and I never really knew it till now.
