They say big girls don't cry, But what do they know anyway? They say don't let love pass you by, But what about the games you play? They say what doesn't kill you makes you strong, But how strong can one person be? They say live life full, live life long, But sometimes my future is hard to see They say go with the flow, And if you love something, let it go I guess I'll open the door and let you flee Let your wings spread and fly, Hope you might come back to me Because I can't let love pass me by I won't hold you down and keep you here, No matter what, I have to face this fear So off you go, into the world,the sea I hope you know you mean the world to me And if you don't, I'm telling you now, We'll be together some day, some way, some how And when that day comes, I will finally be complete But for now, as incomplete as I may be, I will wait for you because you are- The other half of meThis poem has been chosen for publication in a book of poetry!
