A Little Piece of Me is Gone
By Jane
A little piece of me is gone, imperceptible to the eye; its absence yields a greater heft than that of flesh and bone. The minus mutes music's lilt, and pales the garden leaf as days cascade into one, to march in steps of grief. A little piece of me is gone, mundane hours fill the day, interrupted by memories of those, Eternity took away. Written October 24th, 2001 © on Oct 24 2001 07:00 AM PST 18 • 0 • 1
