Journey Postponed

By Jane

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Say farewell slowly like April crawls into summer, or molasses pours from a bottle, speak yet of roses, and sunsets, wearing your old gold baubles that jingle to a halted stride. Sport the bright red lipstick, painted on in careless strokes to accentuate a smile that says,"I'm not ready yet." Written February 16th, 2002 © on Feb 16 2002 07:24 AM PST   18 • 0 • 10
