I fingered the petals,one by one until the velvet wings floated softly to the floor, only stem and heart remained for me to explore. I stroked the cross fervently, in search of buried faith, the body limp and bloodstained spoke to me of Heaven's Gate, but questions still remained. I clasped time in my hands, and squeezed days into nights to keep the hours chained, until they oozed into the past, and only death remained.
