The Mask
By JB rho
the screen and keyboard my mask i hide behind for a beast am i repulsive disgusting socially outcast and alone. yet behind this mask i can release what i have inside and some accept me for me. i confidently speak my mind and my opinion freely flows. as i strike the keys i become poet or bard artist, sometimes hero no thought of hiding in the shadows. from the screen she gazes at me through those wonderful, dark, piercing eyes. she sees not my ugliness. behind this mask beauty speaks to beast and listens to my words.
