All The More Broken

By jc mcgee

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

icy fingers reach the landscape falls away trapped within the shards a colder hell today bury brittle bones beneath a sea of frost suffering alone where warmth and hope are lost frigid and pale the body is frail and the spirit all the more broken bleed to be free this dying in me goes beyond all the words i have spoken swept into the sleep that spans a thousand years hollow wounds so deep shedding crystal tears a whisper from the veil so softly tempts my soul my cold, erected shell begins to take its toll frigid and pale the body is frail and the spirit all the more broken bleed to be free this dying in me goes beyond all the words i have spoken can you see my face underneath the glaze? fingers claw in place against the icy haze i was drifting through debris wanting something true loneliness is killing me where the fuck are you?
