Remembering You
By Jet
The bugle calls to them, The brave and valiant men. Who once defended England And would die for her again. Like a siren song they call to you To leave the pain behind. To go and have a pint with them And let yourself unwind. She is waiting for you, also Ever patient in the night. Waiting until the time comes When you let your soul take flight. The good fight has been fought, You've already said goodbye. It's time for you to join them In that brewpub in the sky. Over a pint of lager With Nanny by your side. Remember everything you've done And watch over us with pride. In memory of my Grandad, Harry. 1924-April 22, 2001. Hope you and Nan are tearing it up together.
