Serenity

Silver strands of moonlight Through cotton clouds do show, To dance with the soft starlight Among the waves below. Perfect silence wreaths the night, Save for the waves' soft sighs. As they tease sandy shores, Beneath the watchful skies. The merest whisper of wind Stirs leaves into a silent ballet. And ov'r the flickering lights Of my fire they do play. With the moon as my guide I become one with the night, So peaceful and perfect Until dawn brings new light.Canoe trips in Algonquin.... :) Written January 23rd, 2002 © on Jan 23 2002 03:02 PM PST 18 • 0 • 10
