Harlots of Shame
By Jewel
Embedded in the roots embelished in their fertiliser all their watered knowledge drowning us in disrepute fooling us in drunken piety selling fermenting liquor to broken ways. What was once independance now becomes an extrinsic affection entagled deep in their soil blinded by a dirty falsehood today they still say their true... The foundations became strong though disjuction appeared quickly it was filled with mossy growth occasionly leaving a shade of a doubt slighted uncovered, a glimpse of light I remember it called in the darkest of nights. We could shed the deep surface we could break through the time had come and dreams had floated souls in disdain could now feel we were summoned to the edges of the ocean. Climbing the mountain we arrived at an orange sky screamed at their entraped plantation unveiled how we're no longer afraid of freedom. Courage had burrowed up from underground, declaring a true benevolence we only had to make it through one final night. The outside was no such mystery white angels became a sweet manifestation singing to us an allocution they had had wings they could take us we glady flew with their crowning ascent.
