Driving Her Mountain
By Jimmy
Driving Her MountainLooking far down, way down the road, she'd be the one, I'd travel and hold,Approaching her smoothly, over her bridge, past her blue pools, climbing her ridge,My eyes focus on, her far distant lights, blinking her twice, as I enter the night,I glance at her tunnel, pitch black as coal,I pass through her heart, onto her soul,Smile beaming wide, burning and bright, heart all a flutter, speeds out of sight,Over her mountains, wheel firm in my hand, skimming the sites, all over her land,Down pass her valley, steep and so low, continuing toward her, driving below,Curvy and steep, around her slick bend,I slow down my speed, but not less then ten,Her slopes fall gently, forth toward the ground, shifting my hands, I proceed further down,The road becomes wet, her asphalt turns hot,my senses all tense, becoming a knot, My horn breaks the silence, I swerve to the right, gripping her shoulders, and holding on tight,Slamming the breaks, I skid on the ledge, stopping my motion, right up to the edge. © J Fossier 12/98 Written December 1st, 1998 © on Nov 26 2001 06:35 AM PST 0 • 14
