Flying Back To Me
By Johnna
We shared worlds long ago Where mine was headed I did not know Times were crazy, so was I So I felt I had to let you fly Away you flew like a bird Years passed and not a word You were always in thought Your love never forgot Myself I had to convince You would be happy at any expense Yet not a day passed me by That I could forget who made you fly You took flight and began to soar I went behind the prison door I did my time and was set free Somehow you came back to me But once again I lost focus Once again I ended us Yes once more stupid me Thought it best to set you free With broken heart and broken wing You found the strength to do the right thing As I watched you fly I began to cry Wondering as you faded away If you would come back another day A year or two has come and gone I know you must have moved on Once again not a day passes by Without me looking toward the sky Hoping once more to see You flying back to me...
