A Little Lady (a limerick)
There was a little lady named June Who wanted a man, and soon She went to her well And rang her bell For she thought he would come by the moon! And when he didn't, she knew she must try Some other way, if not she would cry She looked both high and low For she thought she would know When he would surely come by Then one day, she thought she found but he was as ugly as a hound When she saw, by the light of the moon She said, "My name is June" They both saw it was quite profound And till this day In the month of May And many years later And a boy named Slater They all live, under the moon, by the bay! © Jonathan Wikkins November 3, 2001 Revised March 6, 2008 All Rights ReservedWritten November 3rd, 2001 © on Nov 03 2001 12:11 PM PST, David Michael Shurtleff adult • humor
