A Wife

By Jonathan Wikkins

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

In life… We find love     in the most unlikely           of places… It can come easily,     or sometimes           it can be difficult               to find… Some of us look,     and look some more,           yet never really find it… But the lucky few do… And an even luckier few     find it not once,           but twice… It can even come     quite easily,           like it was waiting               for you                     all along… When love appears to you,     it could be for someone           you’ve known for quite a while… Or it could be     for someone you just met… And that love     is to become           that special kind of love… Something just seems to say to you,     “Here they are…” For when you find it,     that love just jumps out           and grabs you,               by the hand… And then     it leads you           into a new life… When you find a wife,     and you loose a wife,           then find another… As I did… You see how truly lucky you are… © Jonathan Wikkins April 11, 2002 Revised February 11, 2008 All Rights Reserved Written April 12th, 2002 Revised February 11, 2008 © on Apr 12 2002 01:11 AM PST, David Michael Shurtleff   love
