And It Ends?

By Jonathan Wikkins

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Did we really want what we thought? Accusations… Some false,   some not… And now,   it ends… Or does it?   But what ends?   And we go our separate ways? Or do we? Have a nice life, with each other? Doors slam,   no sleep… Do you hate me that much? Did you ever really love me?   Dashed hopes…   Broken dreams… Can we stop this?   Is it POSSIBLE now? I don’t want this,   neither do you… All I know is this:     I want THIS to end… If it means, I give you up, to end it… It will hurt… Let’s stop this now,     before it gets worse…     Let’s look at the positives…   I just want THIS to end…   And I want it NOW… An end to this, I know,       can be many things…       I want that end to be positive… Find something positive, to show, and end,   To THIS…     PLEASE, DO IT NOW… One positive thing,   and the dreams may rebuild…   The hopes can come back… Just please,     give me some hope…   And this, will end…   And we can rebuild… Yet, if you show me, no hope,   THIS will end…   But, we will go our separate ways… © Jonathan Wikkins November 12, 2001 Revised March 6, 2008 All Rights ReservedWritten November 12th, 2001 © on Nov 12 2001 08:07 AM PST, David Michael Shurtleff   love • other • pain • personal • sad • thoughts
