Awaken... (an answer to heniz's challenge!)

By Jonathan Wikkins

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

On black moon night,     I set forth light,           to waken up my soul… For on this day,     Evil stay away,           for this is now my goal… And now for-ward     I take up sword,           to wield it now just-ly… To make it so,     and to and fro,           for I now defend thee… Wake up, dear soul,     from days of ole,           for we are now at war… Wake up, wake up     and fill your cup,           I open now your door… © Jonathan Wikkins April 15, 2002 Revised March 3, 2008 All Rights Reservedthe last line, is understood, those who know it, place it there!
