Evolution

By Jonathan Wikkins

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Remember you asked me, one day,     What I saw for us...           Do you remember my answer? I said: (after some thought)     'I don't understand this, yet, I don't see an end...' That has never changed, nor evolved...     Till now... Yet, most importantly,     you know why I trust... I still do not understand the evolution,     for it appears incomplete. It seems now to say:     our hearts will remain with each other,           where they are now... And they will always remain there... Yours will remain with me,     as will mine with you... When the evolution appears complete,     I will tell you... Yet, it appears it may never complete,           it may always be in evolution... This also appears to be so…     Time will tell... © Jonathan Wikkins October 28th, 2001 Revised February 11, 2008 All Rights Reserved Written October 28th, 2001 Revised February 11, 2008 © on Oct 28 2001 10:26 AM PST, David Michael Shurtleff   love
